This reply's substance is delivered as spoken audio instead of text.
The registry's own words: Reply with a voice note (spoken audio). A short text label may accompany the audio where the platform needs one; the substance is spoken. 'on' = voice replies until cleared; 'off' = back to text (the 'off' reply is text).
Fire it — usage examples
Your agent just sent a six-paragraph answer you can't read right now. Reply to it:
re:vo→ the same answer comes back as a voice note.
re:voice on— and did the venue reply?→ a voice note now, and every reply after, until you say
re:voice off.
Said aloud, driving: “Lingo, reply voice — read that back to me.”
→ the pending answer arrives as a voice note, hands never leaving the wheel.
Spoken. Inside a marked span opened by the wake word “Lingo”, the spoken form is “reply voice”. Dictated directives fire deliberately, never by accident.
What the agent actually does
The agent composes the answer normally, then synthesizes and delivers it as audio; a short text label may ride along where the platform needs one. With on, it also writes “voice replies on” into its persistent memory of you and confirms the save — that write is what makes the mode survive to your next session.
The baseline procedure, its edge cases, and this directive's full guide live in the implementation guide: implementation/IMPLEMENTATION.md#cmd-re-voice ↗.
When the host can't
No audio output on this host: say so plainly in the reply, deliver the answer as text, and never present text as a voice reply. Still record an on/off preference when the user sets one, disclosing in the confirmation that it cannot be executed on this host.
Conformance — “done when”
The reply's substance was delivered as audio (or the disclosed text fallback), and any state change is persisted and confirmed.
Persistence class: mode-state. Execution report in the reply: required. A user can test any of this by hand — fire the directive, then check the result against the store, the schedule, or the reply itself.
